The Husky Trait for the month was: Courage
Courage is the ability and strength to face something that may be difficult or challenging. Courage is not the absence of fear but rather perseverance in the presence of fear and the willingness to stand up for what is right or try something new, even though it may be uncomfortable or uncertain.
Mrs. Mireles decided to do something different this year with her instruction. She decided to really dive deeper into her students’ data, even when it wasn’t comfortable. Her intentionality to stay the course and switch things up when something wasn’t working does not go unnoticed. Even when things got difficult, she never lost her smile or cheerful disposition. In addition, she has shown a great deal of confidence even when taking instructional risks. The best part is, she never swayed from the Capturing Kids’ Hearts process while doing it.
We love you, Mrs. Mireles!
